The Germans called the least reliable used car
In Germany the rating of reliability of used cars. A distinctive feature of the research certification Agency TUV and publication Autobild is a huge amount of technical work: experts spent nearly 8 million examinations used cars.
The study of the Logan sedan sold in Europe under the brand Dacia became the main anti-hero of the rating, taking leadership in two of the three categories, according to the website “Cars.Vesti”.
The study involved 217 models of cars sold in Germany, German engineers were examined in the course of the year, from July 2012 to June 2013. The study considered the 18 most serious and common faults: failure of the steering mechanism, leaking fluids, problems with suspension and head optics, as well as malfunction in the brake system.
According to the results of the study, all participating models were divided into three age categories – “2-3 years”, “4-5 years and 6-7 years.” In two of them the most unreliable car was named the Logan sedan. In the third, the age category sedan took third place. The number of breakdowns went around Chrysler PT Cruiser and Citroen C4. Citroen, in addition, won a bronze medal in the nomination “2-3 years” and silver in the category “4-5 years”. The three most problematic car has noted two models of Fiat – Doblo and Panda. Also Autobild calls unreliable car brands such as Chrysler and Alfa Romeo.
Among the most reliable used cars leadership went not “the Germans”. Often in lists with “plus” meet the Toyota Prius, Opel Meriva and Porsche 911.
